A warm welcome to the homepage of our municipality! I am pleased that you are using the possibility getting to know our municipal on this way. On the trip through our homepage you are quickly informed about what happens and what is possible in our beautiful districts.

The municipality consists of the city Stadtlengsfeld, the districts Gehaus, Hohenwart and Menzengraben. The whole territory covers an area of 28 square kilometers. Approximately 3.000 people live here.

The landscape could not be any more diversified: Stadtlengsfeld and Menzengraben are located in the Feldatal, Gehaus and Hohenwart on a high plateau. Geographical we are located at the extreme northern of the Thuringian Rhön (www.thueringerrhoen.de). Politically, we belong to the district Wartburgkreis (WAK) of the Free State of Thuringia.

The history of each town is interesting and exciting. Their historic trace is visible everywhere. We believe that our municipality provides a high quality of life. There are industrial parks, kindergardens, schools, sport facilities, shops and leisure-time possibilities amidst a still moderately intact nature. Our homepage informs you about touristic opportunities of our region, which are easy to reach by foot, by bike, by public transport of by car.
